The Indiana Department of Environmental Management is offering free wetland workshops and field courses this summer to interested individuals.
Anyone involved in wetlands (including conservation, land use planning, regulations or water issues) should consider attending. Sessions will cover:
- Importance of wetlands (functions and values)
- Advanced wetland topics
- Economic values of wetlands
- Wetland restoration techniques and incentives
Workshops will be held across Indiana this summer at the following locations:
All workshops will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Each will begin with a morning classroom session, where instruction will be provided by Indiana wetlands experts. After a free lunch, participants will be transported to local wetland areas for field training in the afternoon.
Transportation to the field trip areas and lunch will be provided free of charge to all registered participants.
Please mark your calendar and register now. Space is limited, and demand for similar workshops offered in the past has exceeded capacity.
Advanced registration is required. To register, go to: http://www.jfnew.com/event-calendar.asp.
We hope you will be able to attend! |
