Launched PlatteRiverProgram.org

DJ Case web app developers migrated the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program's voluminous content and data structures from a SharePoint legacy system into revitalized online tools that allow biologists and engineers to easily manage content, collaborate with stakeholders, and visualize data. Though surprisingly simple and unassuming on the front end, PlatteRiverProgram.org features tremendous power under the hood. A behind-the-scenes Mongo database provides rigorous and adaptive species and habitat monitoring/reporting systems. A custom digital asset management system provides tools for program committees to collaborate efficiently.

Facilitated the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service approach to adopting new web-based communications tools and techniques. Before this effort, FWS had virtually no social media presence, guidance or policy. This effort paved the way for a future where daily public information sharing is transparent, encouraged and decentralized — allowing for rapid production and social media deployment of information by talented communicators throughout the agency.
