Cory Chandler

Cory Chandler is a strategic communications leader with more than 20 years of experience helping public agencies and mission-driven organizations communicate complex initiatives to diverse audiences. His work focuses on conservation, public lands, infrastructure and policy, translating technical projects into clear narratives that build public trust and stakeholder support.
Cory served as deputy communications director for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, where he led integrated media, marketing and digital teams and served as press secretary on high-profile statewide initiatives. His work included crisis communications, executive messaging, legislative communications and national media relations.
Earlier in his career, Cory held communications and editorial leadership roles with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and Texas Tech University, where he helped develop multimedia campaigns, policy publications and public-facing communications on complex government issues. He began his career as a newspaper reporter covering state politics and education.
Cory holds a B.A. in journalism and an M.A. in strategic communications from Texas Tech University. He is an Eagle Scout and former Scoutmaster and enjoys hiking, camping and exploring public lands with his family.
